Emerson Openings: Technical Lead / SW Supervisor (.Net)

Emerson Process Management is looking for a Technical Lead/Software Supervisor with a strong .Net Framework development experience.

Requirements

• At least six (6) years of software development work experience of which one (1) or more years  in a Technical Lead OR Software Supervisor role
• Has handled two (2) or more developers in a project either in giving work direction, doing administrative concerns, or mentoring technical skills
• Documentation skills including writing Requirements Documents and Design Documents (UML knowledge a must).
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) understanding and software development experience
• Detailed knowledge of application development targeted for Windows XP and IE-Based Web Applications
• Extensive software development experience using the .Net Framework
• With experience in Source Safe or other code control software
• Strong Leadership skills
• With strong quantitative, problem solving, troubleshooting skills
• Excellent English Communication Skills
• Experience in a full CMM-based SDLC project is optional but a plus
• Familiarity with OPC a plus
• Software development experience using .Net Framework 3.0/3.5 a plus
• Experience in working in a multi-cultural/multi-site SW development project is optional but a plus

• Leads a software development team of three (3) to eight (8).
• Develops the product design, reviews existing designs, works with the team on various product requirements, code generation, maintaining schedules, identifies risks and resolves issues
• Implements (Codes) products from the approved designs, contributes to user requirements documents, converts prototype code into production code, generates use cases, Software Requirements Specification (SRS), software designs & documentation, conducts unit level testing and conducts performance measurement & corrections
• Will be given administrative functions in supervising a development team.
• Interacts with upper management and other team members, Hardware development teams, Test teams among others
• Corrects software incidents found by a variety of testing methods, maintains and updates project/process documentation
• Mentors both Senior and Junior software engineers in the team, participates in compliance audits, keeps skills current with new technologies and evaluates and incorporates new development methodologies
