Position Description/Responsibilities:- Designing medium to large-scale applications - Use SOA and W3C standards such as WSDL, SOAP, and XML - Design and implement a Service-Oriented Architecture for a complex enterprise - Design high-level architectural specifications and presenting them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and decision-makers - Develop strategies to replace legacy (VB6) applications with newer technologies - Building mission-critical, 24/7/365 web applications with high availability HIGH-volume transactions (100M+ Page Views / 250M+ Hits per month)
- Must be well versed in Enterprise Architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), .NET Architecture
- Experience designing and implementing n-tiered application architectures - Integration experience with XML and relational databases (specifically SQL Server 2000 and 2005) - Fluency in first generation web services standards, technologies and tools (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, etc) - Strong background in middle-tier design with emphasis on versatility, motivation, and a proven interest in learning new concepts - A strong distributed computing background is a requirement (RPC, DCE, RMI) - Aptitude to direct and mentor other Architects and Developers - ORGANIZED and able to write documentation of code
