Aptana - a Javascript IDE

aptanahow i found this great looking, eclipse-based IDE still eludes me at this moment. it was one of those times when i was just surfing the web without any particular topic in mind - enjoying my new found freedom courtesy of a newly installed  dsl connection -  clicking here and there, then out comes  "Aptana - The Web IDE".

being a true disciple of .NET and Winforms,  i haven't really given Html, CSS, or Javascript much thought, although i have to admit being amazed that all those great looking widgets from Yahoo and Opera were built with these scripting/layouting dialects.   so ok, what do i have to loose if i take it for a spin.

working with aptana is easy even for me who doesn't have any previous experience with the eclipse IDE.  one thing i liked about aptana is you can select the browser in which to run your project.   and since it has a built-in webserver,  the whole experience of editing/running  web pages is a breeze.  this one is a keeper!

i was about to post this one in the forums. have been playing with it for a while, checking out js libraries and it's an amazing application. i think it's built on top of eclipse ide, that's why it feels like eclipse(autocompletion, class browser, tooltip).. and best of all it's free..

I usually do my javascript debugging in the browser(firefox). But this could be worth the try.
