ATTENTION: I've decided to put the upgrade on hold due to a compatibility issue of our server environment with the latest CS installer package. CS 2008 now requires SQL Server 2005 as the backend DB but our database server currenlty has SQL Server 2000 installed on it. I'll resume the upgrade once I figure out when Telligent is releasing a patch to the schema compatibility issue. For now, we will continue to use the old version of CS while waiting for the said patch. If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to post them on our forums and I'll answer them as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience and support guys! I'll let you know as soon as this is resolved. - Keith Rull

Red Hat Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire JBoss

from Yahoo:

"RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 2006--Red Hat, Inc. (NASDAQ: RHAT - News), the world's leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire JBoss, the global leader in open source middleware. By acquiring JBoss, Red Hat expects to accelerate the shift to service-oriented architectures (SOA), by enabling the next generation of web-enabled applications running on a low-cost, open source platform."

The battle is heating up and both sides are gearing up... soon, it will be muscle for muscle... i wonder, what would this new acquisition do to the IT market.

its just either or..

either people would embrace this new change..

or jump to a new technology bandwagon...

in the end of the day.. its always the developers who are going to win.. :)

but thats just my optimism.
