ATTENTION: I've decided to put the upgrade on hold due to a compatibility issue of our server environment with the latest CS installer package. CS 2008 now requires SQL Server 2005 as the backend DB but our database server currenlty has SQL Server 2000 installed on it. I'll resume the upgrade once I figure out when Telligent is releasing a patch to the schema compatibility issue. For now, we will continue to use the old version of CS while waiting for the said patch. If you have any questions about this process, please don't hesitate to post them on our forums and I'll answer them as soon as I can. Thanks for your patience and support guys! I'll let you know as soon as this is resolved. - Keith Rull

DevConversations April 2006 Newsletter

It's been more than a week now since we started our Podcast and i think its about time to ask for you, our members and listeners here at DevPinoy about your inputs regarding the podcast. Any comment and idea is vital to us so that we could do a better and greater job next time.

If you haven't listened to show.. then check out our first two episodes:

Part of this call, i would like to ask your opinion on who you want to hear in the future episodes of the show. As an update, I have already contacted several local and non-local IT experts that I think could give us some valuable information about IT.

Also, i got a feedback from one listener via email saying that we must change the name of the show to something that it 'alittle bit more Pinoy/Filipino IT sounding'. Any suggestions? I thought of some funny and geeky  names but nothing seems to match the ideals that we are trying to implore here at the podcast. so, I NEED YOUR HELP :)

remember the podcast motto:

Filipino Style + Information + Humor = Fun!

Another listener sent me an email saying that she thinks our format is fun and addicting but she wants it to be a little bit more organized(something like splitting the show into segments). I think its viable.. but might create a longer show causing more MB to our huge sound file. Any inputs on this?

Overall, I think we are gaining ground and i want to thank you for helping us make this dream a reality... a true Filipino IT podcast for the geek and non-geek consumers :)

Again, Thank you and MABUHAY ANG FILIPINO DEVELOPERS!
