According to xentrius  the color symbolizes: orange (means fresh) and green (color of technology)

The devPinoy insignia codename "shout out and be heard" uses a simple, vibrant, contemporary style. Green is the color of technology while orange complements green to give it a fresh cool look. The shoutbox signifies that every Pinoy Developer has always something to say and share to help the developers community. The tagline, "where filipino developers synergize™" defines the existence of this website, its purpose.

Another nice artwork from my master... Most especially the shoutbox shape enclosing the "DEV" word. It is what we usually use to pertain "I'm communicating and here's how" and it really fits this site. Naks! Keep it up...

I'm not much for constructive critism, but it looks great! Are you planning that the entire site will be suited with this color theme and logo?

the idea is that we will start changing the colors/theme of the site once a logo has been selected. hopefully we could find one soon... :) i'll probably run a poll on this images to see what people using devpinoy want... and haopefully more people would submit their user contributions..

It's very good. no offernse, but the colors... it's look like retro to me.
