January 2006 was a good month for DevPinoy.. this month was a fruitful month in so many ways that its so hard to describe how the community has grown in the past couple of week.

January 2006 was a breakthrough month for the Filipino Developers Community. In this month we had 50 new members. I'd like to welcome the new members of our family.

January was also the month of prizes... we gave away 3 Visual Studio.NET 2005 and SQL Server 2005 to 3 lucky bloggers.

The DevPinoy eZine was also born on January. DevPinoy would serve as the electronic publication for DevPinoy catering all areas of IT including but not limited to .NET, Java, PHP, ASM and C/C++. The said eZine is scheduled to be release this first quarter of 2006.

DevPinoy OSI (OpenSource Initiative) was formally launched on this month.. The first project to be listed on the DP OSI is PHPTarsier, and MVC Framework for PHP.

The year started right and i know theres more bright things ahead of us... all we need to do now is work harder to reach our goal.. a unified Filipino Developers Community!
